Actor, entrepreneur, and politician John Dumelo has once again demonstrated his connection with the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon, this time through a heartfelt gesture in support of the Muslim community ahead of Eid al-Adha.
The Ghanaian actor and politician made the donation to aid the sacrificial rituals central to the Islamic festival, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to God.
Eid al-Adha is a significant moment for Muslims around the world, marked by prayer, community gatherings, and the sharing of meat with family and the needy.
Dumelo, who is the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, shared news of the donation via his official social media platforms, posting photos of the cattle and confirming the purpose of the gesture.
The donation is in line with his ongoing community engagement efforts within the constituency.
Eid al-Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” is expected to be observed globally by Muslims in the coming days.
The donated cattle will support the traditional sacrifice performed during the celebration.
John Dumelo has in the past been involved in various forms of community support and continues to maintain visibility in Ayawaso West Wuogon ahead of the 2024 elections, where he is seeking to unseat the incumbent MP.
In the caption of the social media post, he wrote:
“Donation of cattle to various mosques in Ayawaso West, together with our new MCE, Dr Mensah.”
The donation has been noted by observers as a contribution toward religious harmony and as a reflection of his ongoing connection with diverse communities in his constituency.
