The Eagles are extending their record-breaking Las Vegas Sphere residency with two additional shows in January 2027. The legendary band, featuring Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Deacon Frey, and Vince Gill, will perform at the visually stunning venue on Friday, January 8, 2027, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, January 9, 2027, at 8:30 p.m. These concerts will occur toward the end of their run, which began in November 2026 and includes a total of 14 performances.
Following their stint, which concludes on January 23, the Eagles will have played 74 shows at the Sphere, a figure that dwarfs the next closest act, Dead and Company, with 48 performances. Backstreet Boys and U2 trail behind them, underscoring the Eagles’ dominance at this unique venue.
Tickets for the newly announced shows will go on sale on Friday, October 30, at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster, but fans can secure their seats now through secondary market sites like Vivid Seats. The Eagles’ previous 12 shows at the Sphere are also available for purchase, giving fans multiple chances to catch the band in action.
Concertgoers can expect a 20-song setlist featuring timeless classics such as “Hotel California,” “Life In The Fast Lane,” “Desperado,” and “Take It To The Limit.” The Sphere’s immersive experience enhances the performance, surrounding the audience with breathtaking visuals that complement the band’s music. Americana UK reflected on a past performance, stating, “It’s possible to find examples of video recordings on video sharing platforms of the concerts at the Sphere, but they can’t do justice to the quality and scale of the offering, nor can they provide anything like the jaw dropping experience of witnessing a performance at the venue.”
The Eagles have a storied history, having formed in 1971 and sold over 150 million albums worldwide. Over their five-decade career, they have received six Grammy Awards and performed more than 1,000 concerts. Founding member Don Henley, now 79, continues to lead the group alongside 78-year-olds Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, 22-time Grammy winner Vince Gill, and Deacon Frey, the son of the late Glenn Frey. The Eagles have experienced lineup changes and losses over the years, with Randy Meisner passing away in 2023 and Glenn Frey in 2016.
The upcoming January shows not only mark the continuation of their successful residency but also provide an opportunity for fans to witness a band that has seamlessly blended rock, country, and pop influences over the years. The Sphere's design amplifies this experience, offering a captivating environment for both the musicians and the audience.
In addition to the Eagles, the Las Vegas Sphere is set to host a range of other exciting performances. Future events include prominent acts and a variety of shows that showcase the venue's unique capabilities.
As the Eagles prepare for their additional performances, Vince Gill is also scheduled for 12 shows with Amy Grant at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium this December, further demonstrating the band members' ongoing commitment to live music.
The Eagles continue to draw fans from around the globe, and the buzz surrounding their Las Vegas residency remains palpable. With ticket sales soon to open for the January shows, fans are eager to secure their spots for a night filled with nostalgia and unforgettable music. The Eagles are not just playing concerts; they are creating experiences that resonate with their audience long after the final note is played.
