The 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is optimistic that very soon, the people of Ghana will realize that they were on the right side of the battle.
He made this known while engaging members of the minority in Parliament.
To him, this is the time for their legislators to raise their heads up and work towards the victory of the political party.
“Obviously, we didn’t win. But I want you to be clear in your mind that over time, everyone will realise that we were on the right side of the battle,” he said.
“The work that we had started and the plans we were about to roll out over time will be proven to be what would have been best for transforming our country,” he further added.
To him, this is the time for the legislators to keep their heads up and work towards victory for the political party.
“So, I need you to keep your head up and committed to the further work ahead. We lost the battle in 2024, but we won’t lose this war. It will be tough, but I believe with God we shall eventually win,” he indicated.
