Ghanaian rapper Edem has come to the defense of fellow artist Sarkodie regarding the recent security incident at Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s (RNAQ40) birthday party. Speaking on 3 Music TV with Jay Foley, Edem clarified that people are deliberately trying to create an agenda around the issue.
According to Edem, as a professional artist, he understands how security protocols work during performances. “I’m a professional artist. I understand what goes into the mind of an artist when he’s about to perform. My team wouldn’t let anybody interfere with me during that moment,” he explained.
He further recounted that he was holding a glass of champagne when someone accidentally pushed him from behind. This led to a slight movement, prompting Sarkodie’s security to react and do their job.
Edem emphasized that the situation was being exaggerated by the public.
His statement comes after viral reports suggested that there was tension at the party involving Sarkodie’s security. However, Edem’s clarification aims to put an end to the speculations and highlight the professionalism involved in handling such situations.
Sarkodie has yet to comment on the matter, but Edem’s remarks have given fans a clearer perspective on what actually happened.
