On Saturday, March 1, a security officer at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Mr. Isaiah Moiloom, arrested four individuals who had entered the hospital premises to steal large quantities of underground cables from the hospital’s duct system.
The suspects initially posed as workers hired by the hospital to repair damaged cables.
However, upon interrogation, it was revealed that they were there solely to steal the cables for resale.
Further questioning confirmed that they had neither been authorized by the hospital nor engaged by any relevant authority.
They were subsequently handed over to the Korle Bu Police Station.
The suspects remain in police custody, pending further investigation and legal proceedings.
