Mallam Steals iPhone 14 Pro Max from Sleeping Man at Mosque, Tries to Sell it for GH¢350

A Nigerian Mallam has been arrested after stealing an iPhone 14 Pro Max worth ₦1.1 million (GH¢11,000) from an individual who was sleeping inside a mosque.
He later attempted to sell the phone at a market for just ₦35,000 which is equivalent to Ghs353.00.

The incident was captured in a viral video circulating on TikTok.

In the footage, the victim narrated how his phone was stolen and later recovered after the thief took it to a shop to sell.

According to him, he had dozed off inside the mosque, and within five minutes of waking up, he realized his phone was missing.

When he attempted to call the number, he discovered the device had been switched off.

In his words: “Inside the mosque, I spent some time and opened my eyes within five minutes, but my phone was gone. I saw about four Mallams around, but we didn’t suspect them. When I called the phone, it was off.”

Shortly after reporting the theft, he received a call from someone asking for his phone’s password.

The caller explained that a Mallam had just brought the device to a shop, attempting to sell it for a fraction of its value.

As the video gained traction online, social media users flooded the comment section with their reactions to the shocking incident.
