Jogbo

Movies & TV Saworoide: Tunde Kelani’s 1999 parable of a sacred drum and a corrupt king Saworoide, directed by Tunde Kelani and released in 1999, tells of the fictional town of Jogbo, where a new king refuses the traditional rites that bind rulers to honesty. A sacred drum, a corrupt elite and a military coup turn it into a sharp political allegory.
