Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, is stepping forward with honesty and calm as he reveals his ongoing cooperation with the National Investigations Bureau (NIB).
The former Education and Energy Minister confirmed he has been visiting the Bureau intermittently to assist with inquiries related to his time in office—particularly during his tenure as Education Minister under the previous NPP administration.
Speaking candidly, the former Energy Minister stated that he has been in and out of the Bureau to respond to questions regarding decisions and actions taken during his tenure under the previous administration.
While the specifics of the investigations remain undisclosed, Dr. Opoku-Prempeh’s confirmation comes at a time when transparency and accountability in governance are at the forefront of public concern. His openness has drawn attention from both political allies and the wider public, many of whom see this as part of the natural checks and balances of leadership.
In a video sighted by Ghanaian Blogger, King Bygone, which is available to The 1957 News, the former Energy Minister stated that, it’s good for every individual to account for their role in their previous positions, however, how it must be done cautiously.
He also said, the current administration should infringe on people rights, and he hopes they do things accordingly.
