Excitement is at an all-time high as two-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua arrives in Ghana to support the much-anticipated Battle of the Beasts boxing event, spearheaded by Sharaf Mahama, son of President John Dramani Mahama.
Joshua’s arrival was nothing short of spectacular. The British boxing superstar was spotted cruising through Accra on a motorbike, flashing a wide grin as thrilled fans lined the streets, waving Ghanaian flags and cheering him on.
Dressed in a crisp white shirt, Joshua looked relaxed and ready to soak up the electric atmosphere surrounding the event.
The Battle of the Beasts promises to be one of the biggest boxing nights Ghana has seen in years.
The main event will feature Ghana’s own Jacob “The Beast” Dickson facing off against American fighter Andrew Tabiti for the prestigious WBO Africa Bridgerweight title.
But the action doesn’t stop there, WBO Africa Bantamweight champion Daniel Selassie Gorsh will defend his belt against seasoned fighter Thei Allotey, while Haruna Mohammed puts his national Cruiserweight title on the line against challenger Abdulai Ahmed.
Sharaf Mahama, the mastermind behind the event through his Legacy Rise Sports promotion company, has made it clear that his vision is to elevate Ghanaian boxing onto the global stage.
“We are determined to give our local boxers the global exposure they deserve,” he stated during a press conference, emphasizing his commitment to showcasing African talent.
Joshua’s presence adds undeniable star power to the event, alongside fellow boxing legend Amir Khan, making this a true A-list affair.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the showdown, with many predicting that the night will deliver unforgettable moments and fierce battles inside the ring.
With the energy building and the fighters ready to prove their worth, Battle of the Beasts is set to be a night of pure adrenaline, passion, and boxing greatness. Ghana’s boxing scene is on the rise, and with icons like Joshua backing the movement, the future looks brighter than ever.
