Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, widely known as Ajagurajah and founder of the Ajagurajah Movement, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Malik Basintale.
Accompanied by a delegation from his movement, Bishop Asiamah met with the YEA leadership to explore potential collaboration around youth development, empowerment, and employment opportunities in Ghana.
The visit, which took place at the YEA head office in Accra, highlighted shared concerns over unemployment and the need for strategic efforts to engage and uplift young people across the country.
Malik Basintale, appointed as YEA CEO earlier this year, has stated his commitment to expanding access to skills training, entrepreneurship support, and job placements for Ghanaian youth. The meeting with the Ajagurajah Movement adds to a series of engagements with stakeholders across civil society, religious institutions, and the private sector.
While specific outcomes of the visit were not publicly disclosed, both parties acknowledged the importance of collective responsibility in addressing the country’s youth employment challenges.
A short video clip from the visit was shared by The1957News, showing the cordial interaction and symbolic exchange between Bishop Asiamah and Mr. Basintale.
The Ajagurajah Movement, known for its spiritual teachings and community outreach efforts, has gained significant public attention in recent years. The visit signals a growing interest among religious and traditional groups to engage directly with national institutions on socio-economic matters.
The Youth Employment Agency continues to roll out various programs aimed at reducing unemployment, including the Youth in Skills Training, Graduate Internship Program, and Start-Up Support Initiative.
