Full Scholarships Awarded to Children of August 6 Helicopter Crash Victims

B5 Plus Group, in partnership with DPS International School, has announced full educational scholarships for the children of victims of the August 6 helicopter crash.

The announcement was made during a solemn presentation at Jubilee House, where families of the deceased, government officials, and corporate representatives gathered to honor the lives lost and offer hope to those left behind.

Each affected family will have two children enrolled at DPS International School in Tema, with all expenses covered, including tuition, boarding, uniforms, and academic materials. The scholarship extends through the A-Level stage, ensuring long-term academic support and access to world-class education.

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah praised the initiative as a model of corporate responsibility, describing it as a meaningful way to stand with grieving families during their time of need.

Presidential Advisor on Legal Affairs, Marietta Brew, commended the gesture and highlighted DPS International’s reputation for academic excellence. She referenced the success of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s son, Oheneba Kwame Kyeretwie, who graduated from DPS with distinction and now studies Astronomy at Wesleyan University in the United States.

Brew described the scholarship as a priceless investment in the future of the children affected, noting that it would be warmly welcomed by President Nana Akufo-Addo and the nation at large.

Mukesh Thakwani, CEO of B5 Plus Group, personally presented the scholarship package, reaffirming the company’s commitment to social impact and national solidarity.

The initiative reflects B5 Plus’s broader mission to uplift communities through education and opportunity.
