Ghana and Morocco agree to visa-free-waiver agreement

Ghana and Morocco have made a breakthrough in their diplomatic relations, agreeing to implement a visa waiver for all categories of travelers from both nations.

According to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the development is expected to foster deeper collaborations in areas such as agribusiness, tourism, and security.

“The agreement will soon be submitted to Parliament for formal ratification,” he stated.

This move is a testament to the growing partnership between Ghana and Morocco.

The Moroccan Ambassador to Ghana, Imane Ouaadil, addressed concerns regarding the safety of Africans in Morocco.

“Ghanaians and all Africans living in Morocco are safe, contrary to circulating social media videos alleging the massacre of approximately 700 Africans,” she indicated.

Morocco will not be the first African country to waive visa charges with Ghana

Some of these countries, in recent times, have been South Africa and Kenya.
