Naomi serves as the Head of Nursing at Ghana’s National Radiotherapy Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Centre. Her 23-year career in oncology nursing has been marked by pioneering efforts in cancer care delivery and education.
She has played a pivotal role in developing Ghana’s postgraduate oncology nursing curriculum and has collaborated with international institutions like the Cross Cancer Institute in Canada to advance oncology nurse training programs .
Under her leadership, over 60 oncology nurse specialists and 10 breast care nurses have been trained, significantly enhancing specialized cancer care in Ghana and beyond.
Naomi’s influence extends across Africa through her involvement with the African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC) and her co-investigation on the Global Bridges Oncology GM Grant, mentoring more than 48 nurses from various African nations .
