Miracle Sticker Couldn’t Save Him, But GH¢50K Did: Pastor Adom Kyei Duah Rewards Defeated Boxer After Viral Loss

Joseph Sackey may have lost his bout at the “Battle of the Beasts” boxing event, but he walked away with something far more unexpected—GH¢50,000 and a new identity as “Adom Ba,” thanks to Ghanaian pastor Stephen Adom Kyei Duah.

The young boxer became the center of attention after stepping into the ring wearing a sticker of the pastor on his shorts, a symbol many of Kyei-Duah’s followers believe offers divine protection.

But despite the spiritual backing, Sackey suffered a fifth-round defeat to British opponent Abdul Khan at the Bukom Arena on June 13, 2025.

Critics were quick to mock the boxer online, questioning the power of the so-called “miracle sticker.” But Pastor Kyei-Duah saw something different.

During a heartfelt service at the Believers Worship Centre, he invited Sackey to the stage, embraced him, and gifted him GH¢50,000, publicly affirming his support and welcoming him into the Philadelphia Movement.

“I’m incredibly happy. Everyone is now calling me Adom Ba,” Sackey said, beaming with pride. “When I get home today, I will sleep peacefully. He calls me a champion, so I will become like him. Nobody can defeat me now.”

Despite the backlash, Sackey stood by his performance, blaming the referee for prematurely stopping the fight. He insisted he was spiritually and physically prepared, having used the pastor’s Grace Miracle Water, Miracle Oil, and Sobolo before the match.

The story has since sparked debate across social media, with some praising the pastor’s generosity and others questioning the symbolism of faith in competitive sports. But for Sackey, the message is clear: defeat in the ring doesn’t mean defeat in life.
