Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy recently demonstrated his generosity by gifting GH¢2,000 to a visually impaired fan who requested a phone.
The incident occurred during a public event, where the fan approached Stonebwoy with his request. In response, the musician counted the cash and handed it to the individual accompanying the fan.
While many praised Stonebwoy’s act of kindness, some social media users questioned the practicality of giving money instead of directly providing a phone, considering the fan’s visual impairment.
Others speculated about the motivations behind the gesture, debating whether it was a genuine act of charity or a publicity move.
This is not the first time Stonebwoy has shown support for his fans.
In 2022, he paid the outstanding fees of a university student, enabling him to graduate. Additionally, during a trip to Côte d’Ivoire, Stonebwoy and his wife distributed cash to local women, bringing smiles to their faces.
Stonebwoy’s consistent acts of generosity have solidified his reputation as an artist who values and supports his fanbase. However, as with many public figures, his actions continue to spark discussions about the nature and motivations of celebrity philanthropy.
