UTV’s Yaa Konamah Breaks Down in Tears: 11-Year Silence Shattered Over Husband’s Mysterious Death

Renowned UTV presenter Yaa Konamah has opened up about the devastating loss of her husband, breaking an 11-year silence that has left fans both shocked and sympathetic.

On May 20, 2025, Konamah visited the Osu Cemetery to mark the 11th anniversary of her husband’s untimely death.

In an emotional video shared on social media, she recounted the tragic events of that fateful day in 2014, revealing that her husband collapsed suddenly after she left for work. Despite being rushed to multiple hospitals, including Maranatha at Nungua Estate, Lekma, and finally the 37 Military Hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.

“We had talked. He had said, ‘Have a good day.’ He had blessed me, and I had just left for work. After reading the news, I got a call that ‘your husband has passed out,’

” Konamah tearfully recounted.

The cause of her husband’s sudden death remains undisclosed, adding an air of mystery to the already tragic narrative. Konamah’s candid disclosure has sparked widespread discussion, with many expressing admiration for her strength and resilience.

In her message, Konamah offered words of comfort to others who have experienced similar losses:

“Good people die, and nobody cares about it. But the beautiful thing is that they’re hurt no more. They don’t go through pain like we do anymore. The Lord sees and protects them. They’re in a better place. If you’ve lost a loved one, I want you to know that it’s well.”
