The story, the cast and Inkblot
Ishaya Bello is an aspiring artist from a struggling family. His scholarship opens doors, but his choices quickly lead him into trouble. Mike Afolarin plays Ishaya. The series made him one of Nollywood’s most talked-about young actors. The series features a young cast alongside experienced Nollywood actors.

The show was produced by Inkblot Productions, a Nigerian company known for films such as The Wedding Party. The series deals with class, money, peer pressure, family loyalty and identity. Far From Home was part of Netflix’s push to commission original series from Nigeria aimed at younger viewers.
Reception, fashion and young audiences
The show reached Netflix’s top charts in Nigeria and appeared on global lists, and viewers praised its style and performances.
