Ghana’s Vice President, Her Excellency Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has been hospitalized following a sudden illness.
According to an official statement from the Presidency Communications, she received treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre on Saturday, March 29, 2025, after falling ill on Friday.
Based on expert medical advice, the Vice President will be traveling abroad for further medical care.
Details of her condition remain undisclosed, but the government assures Ghanaians that she is receiving the best medical attention.
The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, expressed well wishes for the Vice President’s recovery.
