The announcement came during a meeting on May 30, 2025, between Shatta Wale and YEA CEO Malik Basintale.

Basintale, known for his commitment to youth empowerment, clarified that the electric vehicles were sourced from a private individual. However, he has instructed his team to ensure these vehicles are registered first on Shaxi, Shatta Wale’s ride-hailing platform.
