Ghanaian comedian and content creator, Abdul Waris Umaru, popularly known as Comedian Waris, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Ghana Embassy in Abu Dhabi, sharing his experience on Instagram with heartfelt reflections and photos from the visit.

The visit, which Waris described as “such a sweet experience,” was an opportunity for the comedian to connect with embassy staff, engage in meaningful conversations, and gain insights into the work being done to support Ghanaians living in the United Arab Emirates.

“I got the opportunity to learn and unlearn so much,” Waris wrote in his post, expressing deep appreciation for the team at the embassy. “Thanks to all the officials in the office working so hard to make life easier for all Ghanaians.”

Waris, who was in the UAE as part of his international engagements, used the visit to highlight the critical role the embassy plays for the Ghanaian community abroad. He encouraged fellow Ghanaians living in Dubai and across the Emirates to view the embassy as an accessible and supportive resource.

“I want to encourage all Ghanaians in Dubai to feel free to visit the embassy in case of any difficulties — they are there for you,” he emphasized.

The comedian’s visit comes at a time when community engagement and access to official support are essential for many expatriates navigating life overseas. His call to action reinforces the embassy’s purpose, not just as a bureaucratic institution, but as a place of refuge and assistance for citizens abroad.

The Ghana Embassy in Abu Dhabi serves as a key diplomatic and consular presence for Ghanaians in the UAE. In recent years, the embassy has stepped up its efforts to connect with the growing Ghanaian population in the Gulf, supporting everything from passport renewals to legal assistance and cultural outreach.

Waris’s gesture of recognition, using his platform to draw attention to the embassy’s efforts, has resonated with his followers, many of whom shared their own experiences and echoed his appreciation.
