An Ivorian woman has captured the admiration of Ghanaians after making a remarkable journey from Ivory Coast to Ghana just to attend the Candlelight Vigil held for highlife music legend, Daddy Lumba.
This passionate Ivorian woman, who described herself as a lifelong fan, made the cross-border trip just to participate in the emotionally charged vigil honoring the legendary Daddy Lumba.
During a brief but moving interview with Ghanaian blogger King Bygone, she shared her unwavering admiration for the iconic musician, the woman shared how she had followed Daddy Lumba’s music for decades. “In Ivory Coast, we love him dearly. His music means everything to us,” she said.
During the brief interview, she emotionally performed two of her favorite songs by the legend, including Ankwanoma.
