Social commentator Geh Geh has criticised Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface for purchasing a Lamborghini reportedly worth ₦400 million at a time when many Nigerians are struggling with insecurity and economic hardship.

Gehgeh expressed disappointment that the footballer chose to buy a luxury car instead of assisting with urgent crises affecting people from his home state of Edo.

He referenced the recent abduction of a couple in the state, where the kidnappers allegedly demanded a ransom of ₦70 million.

Geh Geh says Victor should help
According to him, Boniface’s influence and financial capacity could have been used to support efforts to secure their release.

The criticism has sparked reactions online, with some Nigerians agreeing that public figures should show more solidarity in times of national distress, while others argued that individuals cannot be compelled to shoulder responsibilities that belong to the government.
