Ghanaian socialite and singer Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Reall, is reportedly set to be released from a U.S. prison today, May 22, 2025.
The claim comes from none other than the ever-controversial comedienne Afia Schwarzenegger, who took to Instagram to share what she alleges is Hajia4Reall’s prison release form.
Hajia4Reall was sentenced to one year and one day in prison on June 28, 2024, after pleading guilty to her involvement in a romance scam that spanned from 2013 to 2019.
She was extradited from the UK to the U.S., where she agreed to forfeit and make restitution of over $2 million. Despite the prosecution’s push for a 37-month sentence, the court handed her a more lenient term.
Afia Schwarzenegger, known for her unfiltered commentary, claims that Hajia4Reall will be released at exactly 12 a.m. from the Federal Detention Centre in Philadelphia. She also alleges that Hajia4Reall will self-deport to Ghana immediately following her release, a move reportedly approved by U.S. District Court Judge J. Paul Oetken in January.
The news has sent shockwaves through social media, with fans and critics alike speculating on what Hajia4Reall’s return to Ghana will entail. Will she reclaim her spot in the limelight, or will her past overshadow any attempts at a comeback? Only time will tell.
As the clock ticks down to her alleged release, one thing is certain: Ghana is watching, and the anticipation is palpable.
