Ghanaian highlife singer Kwabena Kwabena delivered a firm yet emotional message to journalists and bloggers during his visit to the residence of the late music legend, Daddy Lumba.
As he arrived to pay his respects, the musician was approached by members of the media seeking interviews and comments, but he politely declined.
In a calm but pointed response, Kwabena Kwabena urged the media to respect the solemn nature of the moment.
“We’re all mourning. Allow us to mourn,” he said, visibly emotional.
“This is not the time for interviews. We are in a state of mourning.”
